Transportation to the airport to take your flight to the city of Iquitos. Welcome at the airport by your bilingual guide. Transportation in a comfortable van to the town of Nauta, the first population founded by the Spaniards on the shores of the Marañón River.   

In Nauta, you will be embarked in boats from to visit the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón rivers, the place where the Amazon River is born. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Amazon River from a 30 meter high watch tower.  Once the activity is over, you will go to the lodge to accommodate and have lunch.   

In the afternoon, you will make a hike through the rainforest that surrounds the lodge to appreciate rainforest flora and fauna. Depending of the climate conditions, you will observe a beautiful sunset from the lodge’s watch tower.




Day 2: Nauta Creek
Dawn river boat excursion through the jungle in search for birds and other wildlife.

Morning departure to the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve where you will visit the Nauta Creek and the surrounding lakes to observe flora, aquatic birds, gray and pink dolphins, monkeys, sloths, aquatic turtles, among others.   

Late afternoon boat transportation back to the lodge for dinner, relax and rest.


Day 3: Camping at the Pacaya Samiria Reserve
Exciting excursions in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve searching for gray and pink dolphins through the Yanayacu River while being in contact with immense wildlife diversity.  

You will notice the beautiful and perfect reflection of the sky and clouds on the water of the river giving you the feeling of navigating on top of mirrors; this is why the Pacaya Samiria Reserve is known as the “Selva de los Espejos” or “Mirror Jungle”.    

In the afternoon, you will have lunch and a visit to the Japon and Plantano lagoons, both with great palm trees diversity and amazing landscapes; you can also practice river canoe navigation, eco fishing, trekkings in the surrounding forest and also enjoy bathing at these beautiful lagoons.   

Once the activities are over, you will go to the Camping Site to relax and rest.  Optional night trekking around the forest or a river expedition in search for nocturnal animals.




Day 4: The Pacaya Samiria Reserve
Visit a few more lagoons near the camp where you can have more excursions and activities like bird watching or just enjoy the flora and fauna.   

A few hours later, you will return to the lodge to relax and rest.   

The afternoon is free to take any activity like exploring the surrounding forest.


Day 5: Return to Lima
Transportation to Iquitos’ Airport to take your flight back to the city of Lima. Arrival to Lima and transportation to your destination.
