Sights & Activities:
The Galapagos are an archipelago of volcanic islands located around the equator.
This national park and biological marine reserve was declared a world heritage site in 1979 by the UNESCO. The islands have a population of 23,000 people and are famed for their vast number of endemic species.
Volcanic processes mixed with the extreme isolation they had for thousands of years, made for the development, breed and conservation of rare fauna. Animals such as the marine and land iguanas, flightless cormorants and domed giant tortoises, which inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection.
Such animals have no instinctive fear of humans, which makes for amazing encounters for visitors.
Travel aboard the yachts to experience these and be marveled with the turquoise clear waters and coral reefs, where hundreds fish shoals dwell.
