The Nazca Lines
In the province of Nazca, a little more than a hundred kilometers from Ica City, lies the Nazca Lines, one of the greatest archeological mysteries of the world. UNESCO placed this site on the World Cultural Heritage List in 1994.
ormed by a series of 20 cm. deep lines and gigantic drawings (some up to 500 meters long) traced upon the sands, the Nazca Lines feature figures of a spider, a hummingbird, a monkey, etc. that can only be truly appreciated from flying above them.
