Day 1: Lima - Huaraz

Transport to the station to board your bus from Lima to the northern city of Huaraz.

At your arrival, transportation to your hotel to relax and rest.

Day 2: Acclimatizing Day

Acclimatizing day, soft trekking to Wilcahuain followed by a relaxing evening at the Monterrey Thermal Baths.

 

Return to the city and to your hotel in Huaraz to relax and rest.

Day 3: Santa Cruz Trek - Cashapampa

Transportation along the Callejon de Huaylas. This drive takes you through the traditional Andean towns of Carhuaz and Caraz. Travel to the Cashapampa district to meet the guides and equipment for the journey. Five to six hour hike to the first camp at Llamacorral.

Day 4: Santa Cruz Trek - Llamacorral

After the breakfast you will begin a two-hour hike that will take you to the Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha Lake.  From here you’ll continue for another two hours to the base camp of Alpamayo. From this view you will be able to marvel at the sights of the snow peaks of the White Range. Two more hours of hiking will take you to the second campsite at Taullipampa.

Day 5: Santa Cruz Trek - Taullipampa

A four-hour journey will take you to the Punta Union Pass where you will have lunch while enjoying the splendid scenery. Complete panoramic views of glaciated mountains, blue skies, and unique landscapes will be seeing during this high altitude picnic. After lunch you’ll descend for approximately three to four hours to the final camp in Cachinapampa.

Day 6: Santa Cruz Trek - Vaqueria

Morning trek for about 2 hours to the town of Vaqueria. Transportation back to the city of Huaraz. On the way, you will have a visit to the green-turquoise Llanganuco Lagoon. Arrival to Huaraz around 6 or 7 p.m. and transfer to your hotel.

Night at the hotel in Huaraz.

Day 7: Huaraz - Lima

After breakfast, bus transportation back to the city of Lima.
