Day 1: Arrival to Chachapoyas

At dawn a driver will pick you up from your hotel taking you to Lima’s airport to board your flight to northern city of Chiclayo in Lambayeque.

At the airport, your driver will take you to the local bus station where you will board a bus to the city of Chachapoyas, in the department of Amazonas.

At your arrival, your guide and driver will at the station to welcome you and to help you with your luggage. Once you are ready, they will take your hotel.

Day 2: The Fortress of Kuelap

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will pick you up and take you on a 4 hour drive to the town of Tingo.

Once at Tingo, you will hike on a stone staircase for about 20 minutes until you reach the breathtaking fortress of Kuelap.

You will enjoy a complete guided visit to the fortress of Kuelap. A massive city built of stone, which was used as a military base and an administration center for food production of the ancient warrior culture, the Chachapoyas.

After enjoying a picnic at Kuelap, you will hike down the stone staircase back to the town of Tingo, where your driver will be waiting for you to return to Chachapoyas.
Arrival to your hotel to relax and rest.

Day 3: Gocta full day

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your driver and guide will pick you up to take you on a 1-hour journey to the town of Cocachimba.

From there you will walk on a 4-5 hour trail to the Gocta waterfall, the 3rd tallest in the world and a beautiful sight to the eyes.

The day is free to enjoy and relax at the waterfall; enjoy a wonderful picnic box lunch with an astonishing view of the waterfall.

After lunch, you will hike back to the town of Cocachimba where your driver will be waiting for you to return to Chachapoyas.

Arrival to your hotel to relax and rest.

Day 4: Return to Lima

The morning is free to rest and relax.

Bus transportation back to Chiclayo and to the airport to take your flight back to Lima city.
